Automatic notations reflect my ‘body-thinking’ in the interplay between intuition and calculation. With a simple, primary stroke, I write, draw, and mark my feelings toward nature and my inner physical state, seismographically bringing the smallest, most internal vibrations to the visible surface. The chalk drawings emerge as if of their own accord, driven from within. The large becomes small, the small becomes significant. In the process, I dispense with everything superfluous in favor of an expressive essence of thought and feeling. A kind of laboratory of my own possibilities emerges, independent of my sculptural work.
